Watching Movie Trailers In HD

By Mike Turner

Movies themselves have seen some major advancements, and, accordingly, so have the trailers that sneak peeks.

480p, 720p, and 1080p are now the noted qualities of movies and their movie trailers. High quality in high definition.

The 'p' stands for progressive scan which is a method for displaying, storing or transmitting moving images. The numbers 480, 720, and 1080 refer to the number of horizontal scan lines of display resolution. The higher the number the better the quality.

And, again like the films themselves, these movie trailers are readily available online for download as well as in streaming video format. So you can enjoy them and review them at your leisure and on your own time.

On average, a movie trailer is 3 minutes in length and give any potential viewers a chance to see what the movie may have to offer.

Usually, the main plot is introduced as well as the main cast although this is neither a rule nor a guideline.

Often, a movie trailer has a specifically colored background in the beginning which is the rating f the trailer in terms of the content and it's appropriateness.

Green for those that are approved for all audiences, yellow for those that are only age appropriate, and red for those high definition movie trailers that should be restricted for adult audiences only.

The Apple and Yahoo websites both have areas dedicated to offering HD movie trailers but there are many, many other websites that offer them also.

A fair warning to all who do decide to go online for movie trailers. Be careful which websites you trust. Being the world wide web, viruses and malware are very common and easily distributed. If the site takes too long to load, then you should question what exactly it is loading.

As stated in the beginning, you will usually be given the option to watch them in streaming video or to download the movie trailers right onto your computer so that you may view it whenever you like. - 40731
