By engaging in these activities, adult minds are sharpened and remain alert.

Studies shows that babies can hear even inside the womb and the brain develops at an early part of pregnancy. The brain is then developed and functions well, resulting to higher IQ than most children who were not exposed to music while in the womb.

There are also studies that suggest continuing the music exposure while the child is growing up to further develop the brain and the IQ. These positive results can also be benefited by adults. When adults learn how to play an instrument, their mind became active and sharp. Even at their prime age, these adults who are still playing musical instruments and are musically inclined, still have sharper memories than most adults who are not musically inclined.

You will notice that the stress is slowly wearing out and you feel refreshed. These therapeutic effects of music are enhanced when you are playing musical instruments. While it is relaxing your mind and body, it also creates simply joys in your heart. When you are just beginning to play musical instruments, there are times that you feel frustrated because you cannot hit even just the simple notes.

There are days that we are feeling stressed or frustrated because of the problems we are facing. And when there is almost nobody whom we can talk to about our problem or any outlet, try to listen to a soft music.

You will notice that as you listen, you are feeling relaxed and refreshed, giving you some kind of energy to go on and finish the day solving your problem. As you can see, music itself is the therapy for our stressed out mind. If music itself is a therapy, then playing a musical instrument can be more therapeutic not only to our mind, but some say to our souls also.
