Samuel L. Jackson's Best Films In Recent Memory

By Scott Thomas

If you want to discuss prolific actors that are currently churning out movies year after year, one actor that is on the top of the list is without a doubt, Samuel L. Jackson. Samuel L. Jackson has been in well over 100 major motion pictures, which far exceeds the number that most major actors have in their whole careers. Clearly the guy loves to work and we salute him for it.

This article will highlight my top five favorite Samuel L. Jackson movies of all time.

Two words: Jules Winnfield. There are few characters in the past few decades that touch the awesomeness that this Samuel L. Jackson gangster had in Pulp Fiction. Jules Winnfield gave way to many of the great quotes in any Quentin Tarantino film.

Another movie of Samuel L. Jackson's which I absolutely loved was Deep Blue Sea. I know, it is an incredibly cheesy movie and Mr. Jackson may not be on screen for as long as LL Cool J, but that is part of what makes this movie so entertaining.

Another movie of his that is certainly worthy of praise is none other than Patriot Games. As far as the Jack Ryan saga goes, this film slightly edges out clear and present danger in my opinion.

If you have not seen Unbreakable, then you are missing out on one of the better M. Night Shyamalan films out there. Samuel L. Jackson stars as Elijah Price, a mentor of sorts to a man that figures out he has supernatural abilities.

One other film that needs to be included on this list is Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith. Samuel L. Jackson was awesome in the Star Wars saga and while episodes I and II were lackluster, episode III pulled out all the stops.

As it stands, this is my Samuel L. Jackson list. But with the man putting out almost 4 films per year, it is just a matter of time before another article is due. - 40731
